Well its taken the world by storm and the 300+ million spent on it shows. A polished MMO that pretty much works flawlessly. When the credits roll you are transported back to the Star Wars universe as they scroll away from you exactly like the movies. With the well known sound track you are immediately sold on the possibilities. Then you login and go wow.... this is a hell of a lot of fun. We now have 40+ people playing in SWTOR and all you of are welcome to join us. Fantastic game, pretty much everyone is loving it. They have launched with 123 servers! The Oceanic servers are full with large queues during US prime time. Our evening its pretty much no queue at all.

May the force be with you, because we are Sith and you will need it!

The Empire awaits you.

View the latest post Skyrim

With all the new releases out now it hard to pick one but for this news post we are having a look at The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the long awaited RPG from Bethesda Softworks. Skyrim is the sequel to Oblivion and continues the open world sandbox style single player RPG. What is surprising is the astonishing amount of people that are eating this game up. First few day sales were 3.4 million units and right now there are a quarter of a million playing on Steam. It is pretty much the most reviewed game of 2011 and nothing has rated it below %90.

Some choice quotes are... "The games we normally call open worlds - the locked off cities and level-restricted grinding grounds - don't compare to this. While everyone else is faffing around with how to control and restrict the player, Bethesda just put a fucking country in a box. It's the best open world game I've ever played, the most liberating RPG I've ever played, and one of my favourite places in this or any other world" ~ PC Gamer UK, "…playing Skyrim is a rare kind of intensely personal, deeply rewarding experience, and one of the best role-playing games yet produced" - IGN. This is just a few of the reviews out there. More than a few people in this forum have picked it up and started to play and from all reports they are enjoying themselves thoroughly.

What you wont know is the active modding community for Oblivion, have taken to Skyrim like a duck to water... well before the actual tools have been released. We are talking upgrades to textures, facial and field of view tweaks. Check out The Best 10 Skyrim Mods so Far and the home of all those skyrim mods at the Skyrim Nexus http://www.skyrimnexus.com/ and the information you need at the WSGF on multi monitor Skyrim.

Seems there is a VG revival going on.

Sony released the first patch in over a year for VG which apparently fixes a log of bugs. Some of us have come out of the woodwork to play just for the hell of it. In fact we are so relaxed we don't really care that much about the dated graphics engine or end game mechanics et al. All that was so long ago (2007) we are just enjoying seeing old friends back in an MMO that brought a lot of us together in the first place. So Tue and Thur nights, pop into VG and roll with your homies. Currently we are grouping level eight's as we re-learn the game. Buying houses, claiming long forgotten rewards, flying on reindeer, taking group photos, thinking how we can build a guild hall again. You know...the stuff of dreams. I got six sets of furniture if anyone needs some :-)

View the latest post LIMBO - Atmospheric Indie Title

I don't normally recommend games because each to there own but this little 117MB Indie title is a freakishly good and has won nearly a hundred awards.

"Uncertain of his sister's fate, a boy enters LIMBO..." ~ http://store.steampowered.com/app/48000/

Whats was your favorite Indie title... what do you think of this $9 effort?

I was going to buy Deus Ex :HR from ozgameshop.com but they sent me an email saying the game would be region locked so i found this site and just got my key mailed to me so i can pre-download the game. It works fine entering it into steam.
